Painting Stations is the most ludicrously upbeat thing we’ve heard so far this year. The sound of summer 2011, and it’s only February! Vinyl Jacket have also made an irresistible, deliberately low-budget and laugh-out-loud video to go with the single that’s been on repeat in the Caroline TV office all week, yet hasn’t annoyed us all to death. Well done lads!

If you’re not walking around singing koala, k-o-a-l-a KOALA after a few listens then you forgot to press play, or did press play but went off for a wee or something. Great record, great video, great band.
